Guardian Jet Welcomes John Silvestro as Sales Director, Southern California and Arizona

Based in San Diego, Silvestro brings military aviation and private jet charter experience to his new role. 

Guardian Jet is pleased to welcome John Silvestro as Sales Director, Southern California and Arizona. John joined the firm in September 2026 and will support aircraft buyers and sellers throughout the region from his base in San Diego. 

John brings firsthand operational experience to the aircraft transaction process. His career spans service as a United States Marine Corps aviator and flying private charter clients nationwide for Wheels Up, giving him a practical understanding of aircraft capabilities and the needs of private aviation clients. 

“John brings an operator’s perspective and the discipline of a military aviation background to our team,” said Doc Dwyer. “His experience will be a valuable resource for clients in Southern California and Arizona as they evaluate aircraft and make decisions about buying and selling.” 

During his Marine Corps service, John served as a KC-130J Aircraft Commander, Section Lead, and Instructor Pilot. He led aircrews on missions around the world, trained Marine Corps aviators, and flew combat missions in Afghanistan. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and three Air Medals. 

John is also the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Cider Mill Fund, which focuses primarily on digital assets and real estate ventures. His investment background adds a commercial perspective to his aviation experience. 

A Williams College graduate, John holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and is a qualified Multi-Engine Instructor, with more than 2,000 hours of flight time. He volunteers as a pilot for Angel Flight West and serves on the board of Veteran Sailing. 

John’s arrival strengthens Guardian Jet’s presence in Southern California and Arizona, connecting clients with regional support backed by the firm’s market intelligence, valuation capabilities, and global transaction expertise.
