Michael "Doc" Dwyer

Managing Partner

Doc Dwyer is Guardian Jet’s Managing Partner. Among his many responsibilities in this senior leadership role, Doc helps set the strategic direction for the company, both for the short and long term. He also oversees the company’s aircraft acquisitions, aircraft sales and consulting teams. And, what’s more, Doc is responsible for promoting and growing Guardian Jet’s increasingly dynamic brand around the globe.

Doc clearly knows business aviation inside and out. As a skilled pilot, he brings his vast knowledge of the aviation industry to bear with Guardian Jet’s clients. In fact, he has more than 1,400 flight hours under his belt, and he holds both a CFI and CFII rating, as well as a Multi-Engine Commercial rating.

His history with the company is impressive. Doc joined Guardian Jet In 2009, in a job that collected and managed data for the company’s consulting offerings, such as fleet planning. Doc grew in this role until he eventually became head of the company’s consulting efforts. In 2013, he was named Vice President of Sales, responsible for the aircraft acquisitions and sales teams. In 2020, he became President, and then, in 2024, was named a Managing Partner.

Prior to his long tenure at Guardian Jet, Doc also served as a flight instructor for Monarch Air in Addison, Texas.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Colorado, in Boulder. He has served on the Board of Directors for the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA), and as Chairman of the IADA Foundation, which administers the organization's Business Aviation Scholarship Program.

Doc is also a member of the National Business Aviation Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. In 2019, he earned his aircraft broker certification from IADA. Doc serves as the Co-founder and President of Jack’s Corner Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to finding a cure for the rare disease SPG50.
