Hawker Beechcraft Files Chapter 11

Some may say that this comes as no surprise but the Wichita-based aircraft manufacturer Hawker Beechcraft filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this afternoon after reaching an agreement with senior lenders and bond holders.

The move will not affect that day-to-day operation of the company nor will it restrict any parts or new aircraft deliveries to customers.
